How to have Eternal Life:
1. God created you.
“Then God said, let us make man in Our image,
according to Our likeness.” Genesis 1:26.
2. Satan, the devil, created the problem of today.
After Satan told Eve to disobey God by eating the
forbidden fruit, Satan said, “You will not surely
die.” Genesis 3:4. But, that sin of disobedience did
cause the death of our relationship with God and the
desire to sin came into man.
3. Jesus Christ is the solution.
“For God so loved the world that He gave His
only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him,
should not perish but have everlasting life.” John
3:16. To help you know a little more, other
scriptures that will be helpful follow. All have
sinned and fall short of the glory of God. Romans
3:23. For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of
God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans
6:23. If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus
and believe in your heart that God has raised Him
from the dead, you will be saved. Romans 10:9
Whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be
saved. Romans 10:13.
4. How we can be when we allow Jesus to come into
our lives and live through us.
When we receive Jesus as Savior, He will come into
our lives and transform us into His likeness. “I
have been crucified with Christ, it is no longer I
who live, but Christ who lives in me.” Galatians
2:20. Jesus wants us to believe His word and allow
Him to live through us. John 15:5b, “for without Me
you can do nothing”. He wants us to recognize our
total dependence on Him to live the Christian Life.
When we allow Jesus to live through us, our children
and grandchildren will see that Jesus is truly alive
today. Other verses in the bible that will be
helpful are: John 10:10b and 17:21; Romans 5:10, 1st
Corinthians 3:16 and 6:19; Colossians 3:3 and 1:27.
If you want Him to come into your life, ask Him
right now. Admit that you are a sinner, unable
to save yourself, repent (turn from sin to God) and
simply ask Him to come into your life. “Behold, I
stand at the door and knock. If anyone heard My
voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and
dine with him, and he with Me.” Revelation 3:20.
